La Vista Nebraska is proud to be one of Nebraska's fastest growing cities. It is a relatively young but progressive city situated just southwest of the Omaha metropolitan area. Strategically located only minutes from Offutt Air Force Base, Epply Airfield and the interstate system, La Vista has grown quickly from modest beginnings to a community of over 14,00 people with a diverse housing selection and significant commercial and industrial development.

The city is very proud of its youth and recreation programs. La Vista has adopted a Park and Recreation Master Plan that guides the city regarding the development and maintenance of parks and other recreation facilities throughout the city. A 60-acre sports complex which includes baseball, softball, football and soccer fields, a 9-hole executive golf course and a fully equipped community center are testimony to the city's commitment to providing a high quality of life through recreational opportunities.

La Vista is home to 5 elementary schools one Junior High School and shares with the City of Papillion in a top notch Class A high school- Papillion-La Vista High School.

La Vista has kept pace with its rapid growth by constructing several new facilities over the past 12 years, the most recent being a state-of-the-art police facility completed in 2003. Coming soon in 2006 La Vista will also welcome a second fire station.

The city has seen rapid growth and development in all areas- commercial, industrial and residential. We are very excited about welcoming a new Cabela's retail store as well has three new hotels, a conference center and world class retail stores into the Southport West subdivision.

It is an exciting time to be associated with the city of La Vista. A new logo and tag line unveiled recently- "La Vista…Community Pride, Progressive Vision" truly encompasses what La vista is all about.
